Mum took me to the vet yesterday and she pulled my legs all over the place, including in directions I didn’t think they were supposed to go in. She told Mum she thought I’d most probably strained a muscle and that there was nothing wrong with the joints.
And then she told Mum I had to rest for a week!!!
Fortunately Mum’s idea of me resting is not quite the same as the vet’s, but I don’t think I’m allowed to run around with other dogs. This morning Mum and I just walked around the local ponds, where I was able to have a paddle and a good old sniff around. This is the Ponds from the air.
Mind you, I was lucky she took me for a walk at all. I got told off by Dad this morning. I’d been asleep on his bed, and got bored, so I started playing with the sheet, and somehow it tore. Apparently it’s a new sheet, so I’m not very popular.
What else? Well, I seem to have a new toy in the garden – at least I think that’s what it is. Dad put it up the other day.
I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with it though, although I’ve noticed that it seems be collecting rainwater nicely.
Talking of playing, Dad took some photos of me playing when we went to the Delph the other day.
And today Mum took a couple of photos of me in the garden.
Hope you like them

poor jez, i hope she gets better soon xx
Hi Jez. That is very good news indeed, that it is not your joint that is the problem. Try very hard to take it easy and you will feel better soon.
My dog, Luke, pulled a muscle in his hip not long ago after getting overly excited and trying to run up the side of a big tree. :0 He is better now though. His vet told him to take it easy also.
Oh, oh about the sheet though. Hmmm, will have to find something else to chew on.
I like the pictures of you playing with the other dogs. You are a nice size but they are even bigger. Wow.
Bye for now, Jez. Take it easy and I look forward to seeing how you are doing again soon.
Thanks Kiri. I'm much better now, thank you. I was back running about and jumping on my walk this morning, and was allowed to play with other dogs.
Hi Audrey. Those dogs aren't as big as the ones I usually play with. Mum wants Dad to get a photo of me with Lenny, who's my Lurcher friend. I've also got a Rottie I play with quite a lot. And in my last class was Frieda, an English Bull Mastiff, and she was HUGE - although she wasn't very interested in playing. That might have been a good thing though - I think I may have been squished!
Kisses, Jez
